It is also important to consider the handling equipment that will be used with the pallets, such as forklifts, hand lifts, hand pallet trucks, hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.

Pallet stacking requirements also directly affect the load-bearing capacity required for the pallets at the bottom of a stack, as they must support the weight of the pallets and goods placed above them. These requirements also have a direct impact on the unit price of the wooden pallets being manufactured.
